How to use "What's in the Mystery Bag" IDEAS

1. Meet the teacher- Beginning of the year:

Put several items in the bag that will help students get to know you better. Each time a student pulls out an item explain the reason of your choice. You can put a picture of you, a book you can read together or something that you really love.


2. Meet the student- Beginning of the year:

Do the same as in number one, but this time make students to get to know each other better by using the mystery bags. you bags too.


3. Puppets or stuffed animals:

Kids love puppets or stuffed animals. Put one inside the bag, introduce the puppet/ animal to your kiddos and tell them that he/she will accompany them during t he school year!


4. Use the mystery bag throughout the year:

Put items related to your lesson. For example if you are having a lesson about healthy or unhealthy food, put plastic items or realia, flashcards etc.


5. Activity, games or book:

Put an activity that you will do together this year, educational games or books that you are going to read!


6. Follow the clues:

Put clues in the mystery bag. Play games, make them search for evidence or solve puzzles to get to the solution!


7. Rewards Time:

What's more fun than putting some rewards? Have a look at the list of my rewards. Just print the coupons, laminate if you want, print on white or colored paper and decide on how long each student can keep his/her coupon. Tell them to close their eyes and take one coupon!
